Opened in 1996, it offers visitors retail and leisure activities, including:

In 2017, during the international trade fair, EXPO REAL, Westfield Centro won first place for the best food court in a German shopping centre. Westfield Centro is famous for holding one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe with around 2 million visitors each year.
